Flash version 10.1 or greater is required on web browser

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Press the 3-point menu and open the settings.
  3. Find the firmware settings and open the content settings.
  4. Select Flash and confirm that the first option Questions is enabled..

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open edge.
  2. Press the 3-point menu and open the settings.
  3. Select Advanced.
  4. Activate the Use Adobe Flash Player option.

3. Confirm that the site has permission to use Flashcontent.

At the time, there were few alternative browsers that focused on security and privacy.

Right now, even Google Chrome is blocking a lot of content from various intrusive third-party sites, and the Firefox Quantum update seems to be doing the same thing.

Therefore, depending on your configuration, Flash content (including videos) may be blocked.

In this case, you can use our excellent guide to unlock Adobe Flash content in Edge, Goole Chrome and Firefox.

The most popular extensions are also ad blockers and tracker blockers, which can prevent the loading of all kinds of website content.

So it’s not a bad idea to turn off a temporary video player site (or white paper) from a third party.

You may also want to try disabling web applications as they can block them and cause an error in Flash version 10.1 or later.

To confirm that a particular website has permission to play Flash, go to the website where the error occurred, click on the padlock icon in the address bar, and open the website’s settings. Then click the Allow Flash button and try again.

3. Clear Browser Cache

Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox

  1. Press Shift + Ctrl + Del to open the Delete Display Data menu.
  2. Select All Time as the time range.
  3. Focus on deleting cookies, images and cached files and other data from the website.
  4. Press the Clear Data button.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open edge.
  2. Press the key combination Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
  3. Check all fields and click Clear.

A full cache can cause all kinds of problems. While caching websites and increasing download speeds are generally to your advantage, you should clean up from time to time.

Especially since websites change over time and the current version may not match your browser’s cached version.

It is easy to clear the cache, but we recommend that you do not delete saved passwords and credentials if you are unsure.

4. Reinstall browser

Finally, if none of these steps helped you, we recommend uninstalling the browser and deleting all saved data from local storage.

After that, you can safely reinstall it and hopefully avoid further problems. Flash version 10.1 or later requires an error. You can also try a different browser, as even some stable versions have problems.

As long as they don’t allow it or for that specific task, you can switch from Chrome to Firefox or even take a snapshot of Edge. It might be worth it.
